А1 Appoints New President
Alexander Vinokurov has been appointed as the new President of А1. He succeeds Mikhail Khabarov who headed the Company since September 2010.
For the last three and a half years Alexander Vinokurov worked as President of Summa Group. In 2010 Alexander Vinokurov occupied the position of Vice-President and Co-Manager of the Russian Office of TPG Capital (the world’s largest direct investment fund $100 billion under management) where he was in charge of the task force charged with devising TPG Eurasia’s investment and development strategy in the CIS countries and Eastern Europe. Previously, he worked at the London office of Morgan Stanley.

Alexander Vinokurov graduated from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics. During his studies he was President of the Russian Society of the University of Cambridge.
