The Independence Group’s new cars sales rose 63 % in 2011
In 2011 the Independence Group, one of the largest Russian car dealers, increased new cars sales by 63% up to 33,741.00 vehicles compared to the previous year. It was reported today at a Press Conference by Chief Executive Officer of the Group Oscar Akhmedov.
According to him, last year the Independence’s earnings under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) rose by 45% up to 44,555.00 billion roubles.
Speaking about the results of 2011, Mr. Akhmedov reminded that the Group launched its regional expansion starting with the acquisition of Autoland Company in 2010. As a result, in 2011 sales of various brands new cars started in such cities as Ufa and Yekaterinburg under the trademark Independence.
In 2012 the Independence Group intends to sustain its 2011 growth rates.
The Independence Group of Companies is an authorized dealer of such automobile manufacturers as Ford, Mazda, Audi, Volvo, etc. As a whole, the Group sells 12 brands of cars.
