Mikhail Khabarov has assumed the duties of president of A1
Mikhail Khabarov has assumed the duties of President of A1, the investment company of the Alfa Group Consortium.
Prior to A1, from September 2006 Mikhail Khabarov held the position of CEO at the company Alfa Capital. Alfa Capital is one of the leaders in asset management industry and reliable provider of high quality products.
Soon at Alfa Group there will be a change in the structure of the company Alfa Asset Management, which includes Alfa Capital and Alfa Capital Partners, and a new Board of Directors will be established for Alfa Capital. Mikhail Khabarov will be a member of the new Board, and will be responsible for work with key clients and the company’s strategic development.
Mikhail Khabarov led Alfa Capital to become the acknowledged leader of the Russian asset management sector, and increased the assets under management by the company from 10.5 to 46 billion roubles (around a US $ 1 billion). Under Khabarov’s management, Alfa Capital has successfully weathered the crisis, strengthening its position in all the key market sectors.
Prior to Alfa Group, Mikhail Khabarov headed Allianz ROSNO Asset Management company. Before that he worked at the position of CFO and CEO First Deputy of „ROSNO“ Insurance Company.
Previously Mikhail Khabarov held the positions of deputy CEO at Magnitogorsk Steel on economics, finances, and strategic development, senior manager at Inkombank for ferrous metallurgy, and at the Russian Ministry of the metallurgy in the department for automation of the sector.
Mikhail Khabarov has graduated from Moscow Institute for Steel and Alloys in 1993, High commercial school of Ministry for External Economic Affairs in 1994 and Pepperdine University (California, USA) in 2001 (MBA, Financial Management).
Mikhail Khabarov is in the top five best managers in the financial sector in the rating “1000 Most Professional Managers in Russia” by the Russian Managers Association and Kommersant Publishing House.
